BCCU is seeking an experienced Mortgage Loan Processor II to join our Team. As a Mortgage Loan Processor II, you will be responsible for loan file computer set up and the ordering of all loan documentation. You will verify the validity of application information, calculate ratios and assemble a completely documented file for submission. The Mortgage Loan Processor II will also be responsible for preparing and reviewing closing documentation, and assist in coordinating closings with the attorney.
Have a thorough knowledge of first mortgage real estate lending practices, including federal regulatory requirements, state regulations, and agency requirements, as well as conventional, FHA, VA, USDA and special mortgage loan programs.
Set up files on system, order credit reports, appraisals, and necessary verification forms and conduct follow up with outside sources for outstanding documentation on non-automatic underwriting files.
Be familiar with all federal and state regulations governing Credit Union mortgage lending.
Process the approved, withdrawn and rejected files by communicating oral and written underwriting decisions and conditions to the Loan Representative for further communication to members and realtors on property and loan.
Maintain interest rate database, manage the lock process, and assist with the sale and delivery of closed loans to the GSE.
Schedule and coordinate loan closing with Title Agent/Attorney. Prepare all closing documents, including closing instructions and CD. Prepare and order funding as needed.
Excellent interpersonal skills. Self-motivated and capable of working independently. Basic computer skills including, but not limited to, Windows, Word, Excel, and a thorough understanding of mortgage software utilized by BCCU.
Knowledge of underwriting guidelines (FNMA, FHLMC, FHA) and other investors used by BCCU. Knowledge of all state and federal regulations affecting mortgage lending including but not limited to Reg Z, ECOA, Reg B, and HMDA. General knowledge of NH Real Estate Law. Excellent interpersonal skills. Self-motivated and capable of working independently. Basic computer skills including, but not limited to, Windows, Word, Excel, and a thorough understanding of mortgage software utilized by BCCU.
Ability to Multi-Task, Adapt, and Problem Solve. Must be organized and detail focused.
