Checking Account Upgrade

At Bellwether Community Credit Union, we continually evaluate our product set to provide our members with the best services to meet their personalized needs. We are currently upgrading your checking account(s) to MyMoney or Live Free Checking effective July 15, 2023 based on your account activity. Each checking account comes with expanded benefits.

Important Information

  • Those with direct deposit of $1,000 or more, or regularly make 10 or more debit transactions monthly will move to MyMoney. All other checking accounts will transfer to Live Free Checking.
  • You can switch to the new checking account before the effective date.
  • If your needs change, you can switch to another checking account.
  • The change will not affect member number, account number, online banking access or debit card usage.
  • You can use your current checks.
  • Any automatic payments and scheduled bill payments will not be impacted.

    Card control offers a multitude of debit card functions including ability to turn on and off your card, set alerts and see up-to-date activity.

FAQs

What checking account will I be upgraded to?

Based on your account activity, members with direct deposit of $1,000 or more, or regularly make 10 or more debit transactions monthly will move to MyMoney. All other checking accounts will transfer to Live Free Checking.

Can I switch checking accounts before or after July 15, 2023?

Yes you can switch at any time by visiting a branch or calling our Contact Center at 1-866-996-9828.

Can I still use my current checks?

Yes, you can continue using the checks you have now.

Will there be a change to my account number or numbers on my check?

Your membership, account and check numbers will remain the same.

What about automatic payments and scheduled bill payments?

Any automatic payments and scheduled bill payments will continue to be processed as they do today.

Will this affect online banking access or my monthly statements?

The only change you will see is the new name of your checking account.

Disclosures

*Must have a MyMoney Account to qualify for annual overdraft and monthly Savings Transfer fee waivers. Our standard overdraft fee is $30, and the savings overdraft fee is $10. Fees apply for all transactions and are imposed immediately with no repayment period.

**Immediate credit of your direct deposit to your Bellwether MyMoney Account up to two business days early is based upon when we receive your payroll from your employer. Bellwether cannot assume any liability for not depositing these funds to your account early. You must be a member of Bellwether or eligible for membership with direct deposit of net pay into a MyMoney Account.

***Bellwether members who currently have a mortgage, auto, boat, RV, motorcycle, personal, or home improvement loan are eligible to receive a discount on their next vehicle, personal, or home improvement loan. Visa products and personal lines of credit are excluded. Easy Street Loans are not eligible for discounts. Approval based on creditworthiness. Consumer borrowers only. Cannot be combined with any other loan discount. Cannot be applied to the refinance of a BCCU loan. Rate discount promotion is subject to change without notice.
